Peter Louis is a SCORE volunteer mentor who graduated cum laude in 1960 from the University of Witwatersrand Law School in Johannesburg, South Africa. He practiced law from 1961 until 1983 in Johannesburg and was co-senior partner in a medium-size law firm until he emigrated to the United States in 1983 to head the in-house legal department of a large international company. He left that company to start the business brokering company of Keystone International, Inc., a firm that eventually became the largest brokerage house in Florida. With others he created the Florida Business Brokers Association, of which he was president for two years. Peter sold the company in 1999 and relocated to California and launched Keystone International as a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) company. He has specialized in business valuations since 1999 and has been certified as a New York Institute of Finance business valuator. Peter has valued many hundreds of companies from small mom and pop businesses to businesses with sales in excess of $25,000,000.
